Dez Bryant Signs with Saints & Bruce Irvin to Atlanta Falcons
Dez Bryant Signs with Saints & Bruce Irvin to Atlanta Falcons Dez Bryant, former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, will sign a one year deal with the New Orleans Saints on Thursday, and former Oakland Raiders defensive end Bruce Irvin, after being released signed with the Atlanta Falcons and his former Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.
Dez Bryant had to wait 9 NFL weeks before he found a team he wanted to play for in the red hot Saints. Dez declined offers earlier in the year from the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns, in order to land with a contender. The Saint are that as the 1st place team in the NFC after defeating the Los Angeles Rams last week. Dez will now catch balls from Drew Brees who only has one interception on the season and try to find his place in rotation with Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara, teh teams two leading receivers, even though Kamara is a running back. That is why the Saints were in the market for a wideout. Ted Ginn has been injured and after Thomas/Kamara there is a significant drop in passing/receiving production.
The Raiders head coach Jon Gruden, who this season alone has traded away edge rusher Khalil Mack to the Chicago bears, WR Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys continued to clean house by releasing the team’s sack leader in Bruce Irvin.
